Our lives are crazy sometimes. I have weddings and sessions on the weekends. Jared’s parents travel. My mom works weekends sporadically. We couldn’t fit in a party until the middle of May – but it actually worked out better – it was a BEAUTIFUL day!
This cake – OH MY WORD. BEAUTIFUL and SO DELICIOUS!
It just so happened that my brother and his family were in town for the party! It was AWESOME having everyone together!
Fitzy and that little guy on his left (our right) are only about a week apart in age! I JUST LOVE THIS PICTURE!

Fitzy turned 4 in April. FOUR.
This face. I can’t believe that I get to be his momma.
He challenges me every single day to be better. He prays for me when I’m angry. When I’m sad. When I’m just having a bad moment. He tells me I’m the best – especially when I’m not. He loves legos. He loves ninjas. He loves karate. He prays for Enoch and reminds Jesus that Enoch is his little brother. He paints pictures for daddy to hang at work. He paints pictures for Enoch and asks me to write on them. Mom – write – don’t be scared because grandpa loves you. He loves to eat bread and butter. He loves to drink chocolate milk. He loves to make up songs. He loves to make people laugh. He loves Doctor Who and Star Wars. He loves watching Chopped. He wants to be a chef or a lego builder when he grows up.
He’s so silly.
He loves tattoos. He was a pirate for about a week – hence the dreadlocks.
FOUR. He will be starting pre-school in the fall. He’s so excited!
On his birthday – he picked the restaurant and the guest list.

This guy – I don’t teach him these little things like I did with Fitzy. Colors – puzzles – body parts – I just don’t. And with Fitzy I was all about it.
Oh – the life of a second born.
But he surely isn’t lacking in happiness. And love.
This guy. He’s really 19 months old – but I’m two months behind on blogging. Again!
I just can’t put into words how much I love being his momma!
And this guy. Sweet Fitzy. Stay little for me just a little longer.

In February – Enoch turned 15 months. And Fitzy took some pictures.
That guy. Enoch guy. He’s certainly his own. It’s really unfair that the oldest is the comparison to all your other children. Maybe once you have more than two you stop comparing – but I tend to. And I need to stop. I want to encourage their uniqueness. And embrace their likeness.
At this point – two months later – he has all his teeth (except the back molars) and has crazy curls! He knows where his eyes are – his hair – nose – mouth – hands – feet – tummy. Sometimes ears. He doesn’t talk much. Momma – dadda – okay – da (for pa) – yes. Shakes his head yes and no. He will grab his kitchen grapes when he wants to eat grapes. He knows how to get in the snack cupboard. He gets his own shoes and coat. He loves to RUN. He loves to eat. And for not talking much – he communicates very well. He loves reading books. He loves puppies. He loves music.
Enoch – you are a darling. You love your brother. You love to laugh. You love tubbies. You are a happy guy and we love YOU!
Sweet brothers. The boys I spend my days with.

The winter is long with two active boys that just wanna GO! I cannot WAIT for spring!
