Little *A* turned ONE! ONE! Again – WAY TOO FAST!
And that momma – Joy – I’ve watched her grow up – and it went WAY TOO FAST!

We went to the Iron Kettle Pumpkin Farm while my sister was home!
When we were little – we made the trip every year with our cousins!
Those guys – they’re ADORABLE!!
You might notice that Fitzy didn’t come with us – he would rather stay home with his G!
We were told that the donuts did NOT have milk in them – but later – we found out they did – super sad.
Thankfully – Enoch’s allergy is not life-threatening – gives him a tummy-ache for a few days – BUT – lesson learned – ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS check the label and sometimes even then – it might not be right!
Just in case you think that every outing is sunshine and rainbows – it’s really not! This one is a runner!

Sometimes – I get really sad that our guys can’t grow up together – BUT – these moments – they make me happy!
I LOVE photographing Autumn and her growing family every year!
And I LOVE LOVE LOVE a moody black & white!
A YEAR – A WHOLE YEAR – it goes so very fast! It seems like I was JUST taking his newborn photos!
And really – let’s be totally honest here – THIS is how sessions typically go!
Which is why I LOVE lifestyle sessions – because THIS is real life!
Again – really real life! And what does it come down to? He wanted what he wanted when he couldn’t have it!
Which is really the issue with ALL OF US! We want what WE want when we can’t have it.

Autumn – thank you SO MUCH for asking me to photograph your family year after year!
We painted some pumpkins while Sam and Jack were home!
And the sunrise – cus – you know – my littlest needs the bare minimum amount of sleep ANY human does to survive.
5 AM. EVERY SINGLE DAY. Doesn’t matter what we do to change that.
Keep him up later – still 5 AM AND a really really hard day the next day.
Tire him out more – this kid is non-stop from 5 AM to 7 PM – doesn’t matter.
And if ONE MORE PERSON says – God must have given you the non-sleepers because He knew you would handle it with such grace and beauty.
NO. NO GRACE AND BEAUTY HERE. CRYING. LOTS OF TEARS. AND CRYING. AND EXHAUSTION.
This guy – with his FRESH haircut! And his cows – his FAVORITE cows!
Sometimes I don’t see a family every year. Sometimes I don’t see them every other year – sometimes it’s a FEW years – BUT that makes the excitement even better!
The last time I saw this little family – their little guy was still in his momma’s belly!
Aren’t they ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE?!

It was JUST A TOUCH cold that day! Those kids – they were troopers!
AND – the kiddos brought their Halloween costumes!
Nina – I love that your hubby wanted to surprise you with a photo session! I LOVED seeing you guys!
So – Enoch asked to get his hair cut – and I kind of ignored him.
He asked again – and again – and one more time.
So – I told him that AFTER family pictures and the PA Renaissance Faire – he could get it cut. And I hoped that he would forget or change his mind.
He didn’t. So – we stopped in at the local barbershop – and I was sad.
BUT – I took a FEW LAST PICTURES – well – because it was ADORABLE!
THAT SWEET LITTLE FACE!
OH MY HEART!
Isn’t he just SO handsome!
BEFORE AND AFTER! Such a crazy transformation!
I really didn’t WANT him to get a hair cut – but – it’s HIS hair – AND I do voluntarily shave my head – so – I couldn’t tell him no!
We LOVE summer around here!
I took the boys up to the property – my dream property!
It’s where Jared and I kinda-sorta “met” – where we got engaged AND where we got married!
It only makes sense to build a house there – someday – when we win the lottery we don’t play!
AND – Enoch was getting his hair cut – and I needed EVERY EXCUSE to take ALL THE PICTURES before that fateful day!
THAT FACE! That darling face that made me a momma on this earth!
OH MY WORD! SUCH SWEET BOYS!
Enoch took that one!
We take the long way home – and see the goats and Lil’ Sebastian – the boys don’t watch Parks and Recreation – obviously!
But they DO know about Lil’ Sebastian – AND they know the song – it’s the BEST!

Our annual trip to the PA REN FAIRE!!
Fitzy was Finn – he didn’t want to join in on the family costume!
My dad – he made his costume – a post-apocalyptic fighter guy – or something like that!
AND – Marty & Jennifer & Doc – from BACK TO THE FUTURE!
My dad MADE the DeLorean!
My talented cousin painted the license plate!
Not creepy AT ALL!

We were close – I think we made it to TOP FIVE in the costume contest!

Our FAVORITE part about the Faire – glassblowing!
We bought that vase! The first time we’ve bought a piece we actually saw in production!
IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL!
I’m so thankful for a CRAZY FUN FAMILY to continue our traditions!
