Yesterday was GREAT! We didn’t see as many couples as we would have liked to but it was a Friday and the weather was a little shady.

We got there at 9.30ish and set up the booth – WHICH LOOKS SO SHARP! I will TRY to remember to take my camera and get some shots!

We had 17 brides register for our FREE SWAG!

We booked a wedding on 9.25.2010 for KT – thanks again Miranda!

We booked another wedding for me on 6.13.2010 – a Sunday wedding at … BELHURST CASTLE! AHHHHHHH!!!! Thanks again so much Elizabeth!!!!!!

The coordinators from the mall told me that our booth looked really sharp and they would make a note in their books for next year about it!

We got home around 10.15ish where I promptly lost my voice – waking up to realize that I have INDEED lost it for sure – I cannot speak above a whisper – thank goodness for KT and her translating!

The BRIDAL EXPO is here again! I cannot believe this is the 2nd year I have been a vendor! SO EXCITING!

My booth is in the same place it was last year – across from Things Remembered and Gertrude Hawk – more toward the BOY SCOUT store.

This year I wanted to sharpen up my booth. I bought three black tablecloths and had my logo attached in hot pink! I got a 52″ square black cloth with my logo and contact information – phone number – website – email – in hot pink.

I have a 24 x 36 canvas of Chris & Clarissa to hang from the backdrop – along with 2 – 16 x 20 canvas prints of Jason & Mandy. I have a 20 X 30 canvas of Meghan to stand on the table with another 16 x 20 of Bill & Cheryl. I am displaying all my albums along with the prints – including my SENIOR portfolio. It is going to look SHARP! I cannot wait!

KT will be there too – with her portfolio and any questions for her brides.

The EXPO runs Friday (10 to 9.30) – Saturday (10 to 9.30) – Sunday (11 to 6). KT and I will be there everyday all day!

I gave a free engagement and free after the wedding session to the mall to raffle off for brides. I will also be giving away one of each at my table – when you sign up with your email.

If you book a wedding and put down a deposit AT the EXPO – you get to choose 2 barden photography GIFT CERTIFICATES – we have them available for family sessions – after the wedding sessions – kiddo sessions – senior sessions – belly sessions!

I cannot believe that 10 years ago were were ushering in 2000. My mom was freaking out and wanting us to stay home for NYE – what with the whole world coming to an end once 2000 hit!

Ten years ago I had come home from Philadelphia University to start a lonely semester at Mansfield University.

Five years ago Jared and I were newlyweds and ushered in 2005 together – again – I have no idea where we were or what we did that night.

Tonight we will go to Amy & Jim’s for a bit and then to help out with the overnighter at the church for a few hours and end the night – ringing in the New Year at Matt & Johna’s. And I am sure that in 10 years – I will have forgotten those details too!

Tomorrow marks a new year – a new start!

I wrote earlier this year about our blessings – there are times that I cannot see any from the past year – but I know better.

THANK YOU – you know who are – for believing in me this past year. For praying for us this past year. For listening to my fears – my doubts – my musings.

barden photography has bloomed into something that I never thought possible. I asked God to bless my photography. I asked for 24 weddings. I had 24 weddings. I didn’t even think to ask God for family sessions – seniors – babies – kiddos – engagements. He blessed me beyond my wildest dreams.

I cannot imagine 2010 being more bountiful than 2009 for barden photography – but I am trusting that it will be. Knowing that God answered my prayers above and beyond what I asked. Knowing that He will do it again – above and beyond.

I am praying that God answers our prayer for a child – a sweet, healthy, happy child in 2010. I am praying that if that prayer isn’t answered that I will see the blessings in it – that I will understand that God is in control – that the desire for a child will subside if that is not what God has for us – one of the hardest prayers I have ever had to pray.

I am praying that 2010 brings joy – for us and for you!

*B* is my cousin Heather’s little sweetness – I haven’t seen him since mid-September – and BOY has he gotten CUTE!
