Coming to an end …

Filed under: sports — admin at 8:14 am on Monday, June 2, 2008

Saturday we took the car to the garage to get the exhaust fixed for inspection, lounged a bit, went to Starky’s party, went to a Little League game, had a picnic with a family from church, and played Pictionary Down the Lane. The Little League game was the fourth last from the end of the season. Jared and I have enjoyed going to support the boys from church. Saturday we headed out to the game in Liberty and it POURED for a good portion of the drive there. We got to the game hoping and praying that the sky would clear. We sat in the car for a few minutes while it let up and the sun peeked through white, puffy clouds and blue skies.

The skies were clear and sunny till the end of the game when it started to POUR again. God was definately opening up the sky for us. “Our team” won the game and we celebrated with a picnic – hamburgers and corn on the grill, strawberries, and rhubarb crisp. We only have two games left this week – Jared and I can’t make either – so we were glad to be able to get to the games on Saturday and Sunday.

Moving up …

Starky is one of the graduates form NCA. She is so full of life and laughter. If you need a hug, Starky is the person to ask. She had a party on Saturday and invited us to attend. Cake, country music, volleyball, trampoline, water balloons – the works.

Happy Graduation Starky – have a blast at college and make sure to keep an ear to God at all times.

Goodbye to you …

Friday night, May 30th, the seniors at NCA graduated. Jared and I have only been leading PowerKidz for the past three years, so I didn’t watch these seniors grow up – but I still cried during everyone’s speech – I don’t have any idea what I will be like when the kids from PowerKidz actually graduate. In the fall, I took pictures of the NCA Class of 2008.

I love watching graduation at NCA – the prayer time during graduation always moves me so much and lets me know that the decision of having our kids – someday – go there is the right one.

Congrats again graduates.
