Sunday afternoon I had a few hours at a wedding to shoot. Peggy and I went to church together a LONG time ago when I was in middle school. We got in touch again through FACEBOOK and she wanted me to come to the wedding for a few hours to take “formal” portraits. My Aunt L was our youth group leader during that long ago time so she came along as my assistant!

The wedding was at Pinecroft Golf Course in Ridgebury – very close to my parents house!

The lovely Jenna V was my assistant for the day – she went to high school with a TON of people in the wedding and at the wedding so it was cool for her to be there and have an “in” with everyone!

Saturday brought a wedding in Troy with the lovely Jenna V!

The bride’s sister was in the Sechrist wedding (the photo that used to be my header) but she first heard of me through Jenna V! I have been so excited for this wedding! I knew quite a few people from the Sechrist wedding so it was nice to have a comfort level! I have a few more weddings with the same crowd of people coming up and am so excited about being familiar with everyone!

Jenna and I got to the church at 1 with the ceremony at 3 – taking most of the pictures we could before the ceremony. When we pulled up to the church there was a GIANT swarm of bees in a tree near where we wanted to shoot pictures – like nothing I have ever seen before.

We quietly avoided the bees and only had one incident where a bee got in the flower girl’s tulle of her dress.

I met Heather and Josh at the BRIDAL EXPO in January. We stayed in touch through the monthly e-mails I send out to remind couples of our specials and open dates.

Heather and Josh are the perfect clients – they come to the table prepared. They knew exactly what the wanted and didn’t want in an engagement session and on their wedding day. We met a few months ago to discuss their wants and create a custom package just for them!

We scheduled their engagement shoot for May 24th – thinking it would take forever to get here – yet here we are!

We met on Market Street in Corning – the same location as my engagement shoot last weekend – and started the shoot on the bridge – which was much less windy this time!

Renata and I went to college together and had a few mutual friends in common.

She had contacted me at the EXPO about doing her engagement photos – YAY!

Renata and Matt suggested Market Street in Corning – which is such a cool place to take pictures!

Nicole & Ben contacted me earlier in the year about their September 26th wedding. They needed some engagement pictures for their SAVE THE DATES and guest book.

Yesterday was quite windy and chilly – but we got it in!

I am so blessed to have a “job” that I LOVE. I don’t even consider it a job or work.

I just had to post this picture of Mary Love and I!

Sunday I took Mary Love with me to Geneva (about a 1 1/2 hour drive) for my wedding at BELHURST CASTLE! I had never been but everyone told me it was breathtaking!

Mary and I got there with plenty of time to spare and scope out the location.

The groom Bill and I met in college through Campus Crusades for Christ – and reconnected on FACEBOOK (thank God for FACEBOOK and the connections I have made)!

We hung out with Cheryl and her family as they got ready for the big moment.

The wedding party started walking down the aisle to music I have NEVER heard at a wedding before – and I have been to my fair share.

The music from The Princess Bride – no lyrics – just the instrumental from the ending – I was SO EXCITED – I LOVE that movie and I LOVE the music!

I immediately knew what I was going to do with the photos – the first picture in this post – on the water at Seneca Lake – with the lyrics to Storybook Love floating in the sky.

The ceremony was wonderful – the message was amazing and I shed a few tears (although this is a daily thing for me).
