We spent the evening with our friends Ronda & Lew about a month ago – and their three CRAZY kiddos!

I’ve discovered that the best way to get kids to cooperate is to play the faces game – gimme a sad face – happy face – mad face – silly face – works EVERY SINGLE TIME!

Johna is my BFF! We met at Phoenix Rehab almost SIX years ago! She was applying for the Clinical Secretary position and was hired! We hit it off right away! She met and married Matt and asked me to be a bridesmaid in her wedding AND it was among the first that I photographed! We have so much in common and I can’t imagine my life without her! She was in the room with me when we had Fitzy until Samm got there – she has been so good at checking in on me and making sure I get out of the house! We can be totally honest with one another and vent to our heart’s content with any judgement! It’s a beautiful friendship!

Johna has been so supportive of my photography business and encourages me every step of the way! She is now starting HER own business – Be … Skin Salon – facials, skin care, waxing, and make up!

Her little girl *M* turned THREE in June and we found a little time to take some family photos!

THIS is how the session started out – *M* isn’t the most serious child …

BUT – she does know how to turn on that smile for me!

We play the game of faces – gimme a sad face, mad face, happy face, angry face – the one on the left was her mad face!

Along with Fitzy & Rowyn – she is my favorite child on the planet!

She LOVES her babies – and she LOVES her baby Fitzy!

She LOVES being a goofball!

Britanny and I have had this session set up for quite some time! Her little guy *J* turned one in June! We set up the appointment then had to move it because of rain and some little teeth coming in on *J*’s part! We got a beautiful day and a happy little guy to work with!

He has a little bump on his head from an excited stumble at church – I took it out of the photos for Britanny but had to keep it in some copies too! It shows what a boy he is!

Bridget – the photographer who took our AMAZING birth photos and newborn shots of Fitzy – asked me to do a family session for her a few weekends ago!

Her little guys are so cute and that teeny baby girl is the sweetest!

Bridget – I am so happy that we became friends and am looking forward to MANY more sessions together!!

While my parents and brother and sister were here – we had a tornado in Mansfield! We were in the house for 26 hours without power – which I know was much worse for lots of people in town and around this area – so I am thankful it was only 26 hours without power. We played board games together and actually spent time together instead of being plopped in front of the television the whole time!

Of course we got some snuggling time in with babies too!

Rowyn is almost exactly 3 months older than Fitzy – and she LOVES him!

Grandma Barden had to come over and get some snuggles in!

It was quite an eventful weekend and we will NEVER forget my 30th birthday!

I love getting together with Jenna and her family! Her little girl *S* is always so excited to see me when I get to the door!

This was my last session before going on maternity leave with Fitzy!

I love getting together with Dustin and Nicole! They started out as maternity clients and have become great friends! I have enjoyed watching *E* grow!

My cousin’s wife Megan made this beet hat for Fitzy and I just had to bring it along! For those of you who don’t know – our puppy Schrute is named after a character on The Office – Dwight Schrute! Dwight owns a beet farm on the show – so Megan made us a little beet hat for our money beet! *E* looks exceptionally cute in it!!

He was THRILLED with being a cute bunny, right Dustin?

Last July I took little *L*’s newborn photos – he has grown so much! I also took Angela’s family photos this past fall – and again a few weeks ago!

This is her oldest – *K* – a chocolate LOVER! We couldn’t get the chocolate bunnies out of his hand!

That is *B* – such a sweet girl!

I met with Shauna a few weeks ago to photograph her little guy *G*!

We met on a chilly day – but he was a GREAT sport!

There is just something about me that says – BRING ON THE SERIOUSNESS! Very rarely do I get THE smile from the kiddos I shoot! With the shot above – I had to reach out and tickle *G* while shooting with my other hand! It worked out beautifully! I LOVE that smile!
