Virginia …
Wednesday night Trudy and I had dinner with her parents and some of her friends from church – and then I went back to her house and crashed. Thursday we went to the mall – I helped Trudy pick out a high school reunion dress and convinced her to chop 8 inches off her hair. Friday we went to Maymont Park and watched movies. Saturday we went outlet shopping and then dinner with the above mentioned friends – only to be at the train station at 4 AM.
Cracker Barrel – the ONLY reason I go to Virginia …
Trudy – before her hair cut.
How I wish I could do weddings here.
I had a great time Trudy – see you next year.
30th St. Station …
Last week I visited my dear friend Trudy – she lives in Virginia – and I hate to drive. So I took the train – Jared’s mom and grandma took me to Harrisburg to catch my 9 AM train – which meant leaving at 5 AM. We got to Harrisburg early so I took the 8 AM train to Phillie instead. I had 4 hours to kill in Phillie – lugging around my suitcase – thankfully I had my camera.
Jared let me take his iPod – thank goodness.
30th Street Station in Phillie.
I have NEVER seen a real person like this – so I had to take a picture.
As soon as I got into Virginia – the rain rain rain came down down down …
Date night …
Last Monday night Jared and I went to the property where we got married and had a picnic.
Don’t get me wrong – I love living where we do – but I would LOVE living up there too.
Home sweet home …
Saturday the 23rd – I had a wedding in Athens – but before the wedding my mom and I took a walk around the property at their house – and – I finally found a Monarch caterpillar.
Hole in one …
Mom.
Saturday I shot a very low-key wedding. The bride and groom arrived together and put the food out for the reception – then Anne – the bride called everyone over to the side of the pavilion where the ceremony was taking place. The groom’s brother stood up with him and the bride’s daughter with her – the rings were exchanged – the vows said – the bride kissed – and the license signed. Then we took a few pictures – ate – had a toast – had some cake and the bride and groom went around table to table to talk with their guests. I’ll post those pictures later – but for now – some of my mom and I.
My mom was playing with the mint wrappers – making bride and groom finger puppets.
My mom was my assistant for the afternoon – it was so fun to hang out with her.
Nice close-up Mom – This close-up shows the appliance that I am wearing on my bottom teeth. It isn’t nearly as obvious as I feel it is.
Mauser.
I have posted some pictures of Mauser before – Mauser is my Aunt L’s puppy – Saturday evening – he was all about giving me kisses – but I didn’t want any of it.
So he propped his sad little face on my legs – just waiting for me to give in. When I wouldn’t he ran to Uncle Bob to complain.
He is a cute little pup.
