This is the THIRD year I’ve taken photos for Becca & Macy & their family!
If you haven’t noticed – it’s been a VERY VERY rainy season! The day we scheduled photos – after rearranging the farm chores – it called for LOTS of rain. It rained all morning – BUT – miraculously – in the early afternoon – it stopped!!
We still made sure to get some in the barn – because that’s their life!
COUSINS – I LOVED growing up with cousins!!
The last time I saw this sweetie – she was BRAND NEW!!
Growing up on a farm – they will have the BEST childhood!!

The last Saturday in October – RAIN RAIN RAIN & MORE RAIN – but I had sessions & more sessions!
Heather really wanted to keep her appointment in the morning – so we met at the PA Welcome Center – they are always so awesome about having a photo session!
AND they have great spots outside that ARE covered! PERFECTION!
I CAN’T EVEN DEAL WITH THE CUTENESS!!

That might be my FAVORITE shot of the session – Melvin’s hand on his littlest – his wedding ring.

OH MY HEART! THAT SHOT! Focus is so overrated sometimes! Sure – their faces in focus would be great – but can’t you just FEEL THE JOY!

Casey messaged me on FACEBOOK and wondered if I had room to schedule a family session with their sweet baby girl! Thankfully – I had a spot that worked for them!
When I came in – she was fast asleep in daddy’s arms – the sweetest little thing!

I’ve seen LOTS of babies – and I’ve seen LOTS of fathers that ADORE their babies.
But this – this guy – he is seriously smitten with her. I’ve never seen a dad melt into a mushy pile like this dad.

6 years ago I met Jessica & Chris to take their engagement photos – and 5 years ago – their wedding photos!
I recently met with them again – in the same place as their engagement & wedding photos – to capture their pregnancy!
Jessica wasn’t sure about keeping our session scheduled. It rained WAY TOO MUCH the second half of the summer and into fall – and the place where we wanted to do pictures was very very soppy & muddy.
We kept the session scheduled and prayed for the rain to stop and a GREAT sky. And I brought my mud boots!

We tried ALL THE THINGS to get him to sit still and smile. But sometimes – it doesn’t work. But the shots you DO get are REAL & BEAUTIFUL!

When I posted a handful on FACEBOOK – Amanda messaged me and said – HOW DID YOU GET THESE!?
When the parents are having a rough time because their little ones aren’t listening and aren’t sitting and are ALWAYS ON THE MOVE – I’m pretty sure they leave hoping that maybe there might be a handful of good shots. JUST A FEW.
When a parent says – WERE WE EVEN AT THE SAME SESSION!? HOW DID YOU GET THESE!? THAT’S MY GOAL. Because I know. I’ve been there.
I’ve had a kid with a lollipop in his mouth – nearly screaming – the entire time – and yet – they are HUGE prints on my wall – because that was our life then.
And through the eyes of someone else – someone who knows what to look for – where to be – someone who is not IN that frustration with you – you see your family and your life through their eyes.
And you see the beauty – when you convinced yourself that it couldn’t possibly be there.
That’s what I want to give you – AN HOUR IN THE LIFE of your family. A new perspective to your every day.

I remember our family photo session when Enoch was two – it was a ROUGH one! He has a lollipop in EVERY SINGLE shot – or is reaching for said lollipop in EVERY SINGLE SHOT!
Thankfully – I get it. I have an ON THE GO kiddo – so I know.

I photographed Chelsea’s wedding earlier this fall and realized that her brother Cris & his wife Traci were also clients of mine – more than five years ago!
They contacted me after the wedding for a family session!
The last time I saw her – other than at the wedding – she was just a little tiny thing!
