BARDEN PHOTOGRAPHY PERSONALITIES

Lori Hoose bought her first “real” camera in the early 1980’s--a Pentax K1000.  With that camera in her hands, she has enjoyed turning family moments into lasting memories.  Most recently, she’s pursued photography as a Second Shooter for barden photography.  Lori is best known for her promotional talents in and around her hometown of Athens, PA, but she’s also won several local photo competitions.  She’s received first-place honors in the black and white category for triptychs exhibited at the Apple Cheese Festival in Canton, PA (four years running), and a first-place ribbon for her triptych entitled “Gone” at the Troy Fair.

Lori is married, the mother of two sons who are both working artists, a daughter-in-law who is a hospital chaplain, and the world’s most adorable grandbaby.  She and her husband, Bob, share their hill top home with a menagerie of barn yard animals, a cat, several kittens and her dog, Mauser.  Monday through Friday, she works full-time as an assistant to a group of design engineers in Towanda, PA.

In addition to being Danielle’s helper during weddings photographed by barden photography, Lori writes her own blog, has been published in Vista magazine and a variety of local newspapers, and provides writing and editorial services to barden photography.
