*J* contacted me about a month ago after seeing the pictures I took of *C* and her girls that she has displayed at her hair salon. *J* has two daughters and 3 grandsons and wanted a family picture around Thanksgiving – Friday worked out perfectly since I had the day off at the clinic.

The *B* family was so nice to welcome me into their home and their lives – I look forward to seeing them in the spring for their next shoot.

Last week Jared and I went to Bucknell with PM and her girls basketball team to watch a game. If you would like copies of the actual games let me know – there were way too many to go through and decide to post.

Thanksgiving.

This year we went to Athens to spend Thanksgiving with the family – we had Jared and I – Gramma T – my cousin *C* – my sister and her boyfriend – our family friend *M* – Aunt L and her hubbie – their son *M* – their son *R* with his wife *M* and their baby *R* – Jared’s parents – and my mom and dad. It was a full, fun house. My brother and his wife spent the holiday with her family in Indiana – so they were the only ones MIA.

I have so much to be thankful for – God and His mercy through Jesus – my family – my friends – my wonderful husband – wonderful in-laws – a warm house – a job – waking up in the morning and seeing another day.

Jared went to school with *B* – and we became really close friends right around the time our wedding. *B* and my sister were really close too and we all hung out quite a bit. *B* has since moved down state and we stay in touch by email and facebook – although not as much as we should – it always seems to be like that.

Last December *B* married *G* and I took the pictures at their wedding. They had a sweet little girl in September and we waited until Thanksgiving break to schedule a session. *R* is such a cute baby – with the biggest cheeks I have ever seen!

On display …

Filed under: portraits, seniors — admin at 5:25 pm on Wednesday, November 26, 2008

I posted the new clothing I have for barden photography – I also got a banner for the BRIDAL EXPO – I got all the products from a local shop – Mansfield Embroidery. I wish they had a website so I could link them – anyway – I highly recommend their services. When I was shopping around for a banner and shirts – I walked into ME and the owner asked me what I needed on the banner – once I told her barden photography – she asked if I would be available to photograph her son that Saturday for his senior pictures – she had never seen my work – didn’t know my prices – but hired me nonetheless. I hadn’t even anticipated to get anywhere with a banner or shirts – let along get a senior picture session out of the inquiry. I was so excited that I ordered with her without shopping around – small businesses have to help each other out right?

Today I thought I would take a chance and see if the shop owner would display my work. I have a 20 x 30 collage of 4 senior girls that looks AMAZING – that I really wanted to display somewhere – but I couldn’t think of where.

Most of the school’s business runs through ME – so I thought what better place? I also ordered a 16 x 20 collage of her son’s senior pictures to put in the shop – if she would let me. I emailed her this morning and she quickly responded – YES of course. I ran home at lunch and dropped off the print of the girls and some business cards – she said her hubbie would be in later to hang it up!

Thank you *S* – I appreciate your kindness and willingness to help me make this dream come true!
