SWEETNESS TURNS TWO
I cannot believe that this little sweetie is turning two – time flies!

She melts my heart!

I am NOT looking forward to next year flying by and taking her 3 year pictures! UGH!

Samm and I got inked!
I’ve wanted a tattoo for a long time but have never had anything that I felt was important enough to put on my body forever.
We found a design online of a dandelion with the floofies floating away and turning into birds – and we fell in love!
I went first and I had expected to pass out – but it was not NEARLY as bad as I thought it would be!

I love it!!!!

Samm and I had miscarriages almost a year apart, hers was 3.20.2008 and mine was 3.17.2009. We got the tattoos to represent our babies floofing off to heaven like the dandelion floofies and birds.
Here are some photos of Samm –

It was a great experience and will forever remind us of our sweet ones.
Jackie & Scott were submitted by Annie to the BEAUTIFUL contest!
She wrote about their love and their commitment to each other – through everything!
Nicholas was born with a heart defect and has been through more than any of us could imagine. Jackie & Scott are committed to providing everything they can for their son!

Thanks again for having me over and chatting with me!
You guys are a BEAUTIFUL family!!!
Not much has changed since May 26th of last year – other than I’m a year older.
But – this is the last year that I will be celebrating my real age! I will be 29 again next year and the year after that!
My dear friend Trudence had flowers delivered to me for my birthday – that I used in a session that very day!

My sister sent me a care package with some goodies in it! Do you remember those little pills with dinosaur sponges that expand when you put them in water? She sent me some of those too!

Thank you for all the birthday wishes!!!
I met Heather & Josh at the BRIDAL EXPO in 2009 and took their engagement photos last spring! This wedding has been on the books for quite some time! We had a beautiful day for their May 29th wedding!

Aszur was my second shooter for the day and she spent the morning with the guys while I spent the morning with the girls!

Heather’s grandma is so sweet!

Thank you so much for trusting me with your wedding memories! You guys have been fantastic to work with!!
I met Nicole on FACEBOOK – oh glorious FACEBOOK!
She and her hubby are expecting a boy in July – can’t wait to meet him!

SO SWEET!

So beautiful …

I bought the bracelets at Kohl’s last week – for me – but they work GREAT at sessions!

Thank you again Nicole & Dustin – can’t wait to meet your blessing and photograph him over the years!
I met Nicki at Chango’s one night while I had my photographs down there for a Women In Business display! I was already booked for her wedding – so we set her up with my assistant KT!
Things happen in life – lessons are learned and we realize how strong we are – and who we can trust. In February, KT decided to no longer pursue photography and I was left with Nicki & Kirk with no wedding photographer – along with 9 other brides.
Thankfully my local photographer friends came to my rescue – above and beyond! The brides were also incredibly understanding! Bridget Reed is the lucky photog photographing Kirk & Nicki for their October wedding – how I envy her – although I have an equally awesome bride and groom that day!
This is my favorite engagement session so far – thank you so much Nicki & Kirk for trusting my vision and for the trek around your property to find the perfect spots! I cannot wait to see your wedding photos!

LOVE THAT SPOT!

If I could shoot here all the time …

I LOVE THAT SHOT!!!!!!

I love those ones too!!!

Their horse is so beautiful and GIGANTIC!
Nicki & Kirk – thank you so much for being understanding and so awesome throughout everything!
I know you will have a GORGEOUS wedding!
In the South – brides have bridal sessions before their wedding. They use the photos to display at the reception and just to have – it is a FABULOUS idea! I emailed some of my brides letting them know that this would be an option – and Stephanie knew she needed to schedule!
Stephanie and Zackery were married today so it’s safe to show you the photos now!
Our first session was at an orchard in Canton – with her reception gown! After this session I couldn’t find my phone – lost in the orchard forever!

Every bride should do a bridal session about a month before the wedding – it’s so relaxed and you have no place to be!

We met a few weeks later for her second session with her ceremony gown! We borrowed a chair – an old, antique chair from a family friend of Stephanie’s and in the midst of our session it was stolen and we had to call the cops. I felt like I was being filmed for an episode of COPS! The chair has since been found and will hopefully be fixed – since it was damaged in the kidnapping process.

It worked out GREAT for our session!

Thank you so much Stephanie! You are such a beautiful person and I am so blessed to have met you!
We had the second session of our SLR class – taking portraits indoors!

We went over lighting and how the flash can be your friend – or your enemy!

Oh – that sweet babe warms my heart!

I can’t wait till our next session!!
I took engagement photos of William & Kristen last spring and have been looking forward to their wedding!
They were married on May 22nd at the Radisson in Corning on a BEAUTIFUL day!

I had a GREAT time – thanks again for having me as your photographer!!!
