BABY *J*

I met James during one of the best summers of my life – the summer of 2000! It was filled with drive-ins, mini-golf, video games, late LATE nights, and so many memories!

James and Laura were also the second wedding I ever shot – and now I am photographing their little miracle!

Lindley and I met on FACEBOOK – I’m not really sure how or why – but we have mutual friends in common! She contacted me about doing a senior session for her graduation from college – Philadelphia University to be exact! Which is where I went for my first semester of college!

We had the session set up for Phillie and then the weather was bad and then our schedules didn’t match up – and then she was home on break and we FINALLY fit a session in!

It wasn’t any higher than 28 degrees the whole time but Lindley was a rock star!

WHY ARE WE HERE

Filed under: bardenisms, just because, word of God — admin at 8:57 am on Thursday, February 10, 2011

Why are YOU here? On this earth – in THIS country – residing in THIS town – knowing the people that you know?

I know the answer.

To share the good news of Jesus with everyone you meet – everyone you know – everyone you come in contact with!

Do you do it? I don’t. I need to.

Why is it so hard – the people in my life are people that I want to go to heaven – to escape the eternity of hell we all deserve.

There are people that aren’t in my life – that I have never met – the need to know Jesus. EVERYONE needs to know Jesus – everyone needs to be spared the eternity of hell.

Why is it that I can’t talk to my best friends about the importance of accepting Jesus – my grandparents – my aunts and uncles?

Why is it that I can write about it so openly on here – it’s not anonymous – you know who I am.

My aunt L – my DEAR aunt L – recently started an evangelism class. In her class there was a challenge – to share the love of Christ with one person you didn’t know that week. Most of the time I think it’s much easier to share with someone you don’t know than someone you do. If you share with someone you don’t know and they think you are crazy – you don’t have to see them again – most likely! When you share your love of Jesus with someone you know – someone you are close to – and they think you are crazy – you don’t have anywhere to go!

And that reason alone is one of the big reasons why I don’t share the way I should – which is weird because I normally don’t care what people think of me!

So here goes with the first step!

God created the universe – every last ounce of matter! He created you and me. He loves you and me. We sin – every day. Sin separates us from God – Jesus bridges that gap. Jesus is God’s son – who died – for you and me. He takes on our sin so that we don’t have to live in hell for eternity – be separated from God. Ask Him into your heart – ask Him into your life! Ask Him to CHANGE your life – to change the way you think – the way you interact – the way you LIVE!

You will not regret it!!

So I leave you with this challenge – this week share Jesus with someone you don’t know – let me know how it goes!

Next week – share with someone you DO know – someone that doesn’t know Jesus – let me know how it goes!

Praying for your encounters!!

LINDSY & GREG – 12.31.2010

I met Lindsy and Greg at the ARNOT MALL BRIDAL EXPO in January of 2010. They were some of the last people to come to my booth one of the nights. Lindsy introduced herself and said – tell me why you are different than every other photographer here. I knew I would like her right away! I told her that I didn’t think I was the best photographer out there – not even close. I strive with each session to learn more and become the photographer I want to be. I encourage you to BE YOURSELF – your wedding is unique – your photos capturing those moments should be too!

I had an engagement session with them in July and have been looking forward to their New Year’s Eve wedding!

Be patient with this post – there are a ton of photos I HAVE to blog!

DEAR ENOCH

Filed under: baby barden, bardenisms, just because, love — admin at 11:10 am on Friday, February 4, 2011

Dear Enoch –

Today is February 4th – two years ago today we found out we were pregnant with you! We were surprised and excited and nervous and scared!

You are 16 months old in heaven – walking and chattering and laughing and playing with your cousin – who is a year older than you and is probably being the mother hen that I used to be!

We miss you every day and often wonder what you look like – if you would be talking – who you would be charming!

As I sit here and type this little letter to you – your younger brother is kicking me – letting me know that he’s in there. God knew that Fitzy would be your little brother – He knew that he would be in our lives at this exact moment. We know that you are in heaven rejoicing with us right now!

I wanted to let you know that you are still in our hearts and always will be. I look forward to meeting your little brother and wondering what traits you share. Do you have the same eyes – the same color hair – the same little smile? Will he be chubbier than you?

People say that pregnancies last forever – or seem to. The 10 weeks we spent with you on this earth seemed so long – the 18 months of wondering and waiting and praying and crying lasted years – or so it seemed! Being pregnant with your baby brother has flown by though!

We are thankful for the night we had two years ago – learning that we would be your parents – remembering the joy we felt!

We are thankful that we ARE your parents – thankful that you are in the arms of Jesus!

Thank you for what you have shown us – thank you for changing our lives – forever!
