Layne’s dress – the night before the wedding …

A beautiful dress for a beautiful bride!
Layne’s dress – the night before the wedding …

A beautiful dress for a beautiful bride!
Thursday afternoon, after getting the rental car and getting all the packing ready – we headed out to Zach and Layne’s – we chilled out a bit and went over to the hotel where Zach’s sister and her family was staying. Zach and Layne were trying to get some last minute details in order – so we got pizza and wings to enjoy once everyone returned!
We crashed Thursday night and got up early Friday morning to get some other tasks done and out of the way – Jared and I took a walk on the beach – more pictures to come later – and talked about the shock of being pregnant and how excited we both were. God has such perfect timing!
We went to lunch at a BBQ joint – mmmmmmm ribs – and then I went shopping with Layne and Tiffany to get some other last minute things – final ring fitting – earrings – flowers. I made the boutonnieres while Layne and Tiffany made the bouquets for the girls.
We made it back in time to change and head to the rehearsal and dinner! The girls went out – asking me to go – but I don’t really go out anymore – if I ever really did – and I am so tired lately and can barely make it past 9 PM let alone getting ready to go out at 12. Christy and I got a hotel room for the night – right on the beach!
Layne brought her wedding dress to hang out in our room for the night – pictures to come later – and I just had to take some shots while the sun rose over the beach the next morning!
In the morning we got around and went to the nail salon – meeting Indica – the photographer for the wedding. I got short tips on my nails – even though they cut the heck out of my fingers. I haven’t had my nails done since my own wedding – so it was nice! They are still on too!
I went back to the hotel with Indica and Christy – getting another hotel room for the night – switching Layne’s dress to the reception site and grabbing some lunch.
Jared grew up with Dave, Dan, and Zach – being a really close group of friends. Christy is married to Dave – and is such a sweetheart! We had a great lunch and Indica joined us – it was so nice to sit outside and have lunch in FEBRUARY! I rode back to the reception site with Indica to grab some shots of the girls getting ready – the guys before the ceremony – then before you know it – the wedding was set to begin!
Jared took these shots with my camera while I was trying to set up the video …

Mindy is the mother-of-the-groom and a kindred spirit! I noticed that her necklace was on backwards so I was fixing it for her!

Christy and Dave …

Zach – the groom himself …

Dan and Dave …
I’ll post more about the wedding and reception once I get those pictures up!
I also have TONS of pictures to blog about from the wedding – but I am waiting to get my NEW COMPUTER and photoshop installed to showcase them!
I think I might get some AWESOME actions that go along with PHOTOSHOP too!
We are leaving on a jet plane in the morning – FLORIDA here we come!
Jared’s friend Zach is marrying Layne and Jared is one of the best men!
I am not the photographer at the wedding but I will be photographing for sure!
STAY TUNED FOR FLORIDA WEDDING PICTURES – who knows when I will get that chance again!
The Morning Times in Sayre has a BRIDAL SECTION each year – I decided to advertise this year!
At the BRIDAL EXPO – one of the women from the paper told me about the chance and I jumped on it!
My ad is an 1/8 of a page using Julie and Tyler – my poster children – alongside my contact information – it looks great!
The BRIDAL SECTION is delivered with the Morning Times but can be picked up throughout the year at the Morning Times in Sayre!
Right now I have 19 weddings booked for 2009 – my goal is 24 – GOD IS SO GOOD!

My booth was the 8th one down from SEARS!
The EXPO has come and gone – I was no nervous Friday morning –
What if my display isn’t up to par?
What if people don’t even stop to look?
What if …
I am blessed with WONDERFUL friends and family who helped me and kept me calm.
Friday morning I drove up with Johna and set up for the morning crowd –

Johna – a former barden photography bride and client for life – was so good with the brides – telling them what she liked best about our packages – helping out with any questions – I am so glad she came along!

KT – a barden photography client and future bride – also came along to help with the crowd and give her testimonies to potential barden photography brides!

SIGNING UP FOR A FREE ENGAGEMENT SESSION – WE HAD 86 BRIDES SIGN UP!

SATURDAY – the weather was AWFUL – KT and Jenna – a former barden photography bride and client for life – helped hand out packages and answer questions!
We left at 7.30 instead of staying till 9.30 because the crowds were sparse and the weather was getting worse.

SUNDAY – MOM B came with and poured on the sweetness!
THANKS AGAIN TO EVERYONE – Johna, KT, Lori, Jenna, Mara, Connie, Courtney, and Mom B!
THANKS to my family who stopped up to see me!
Thanks to all the people that stopped to visit the booth and to the brides that booked a date on the spot!
I am so excited about this next step in our lives – now the question is – when will it OFFICIALLY start?
THANKS –
MOM B – COURTNEY – CONNIE – you guys helped out so much!
The EXPO wrapped up today and I have 3 immediate referrals and a senior portrait booking!
I had 85 brides register to win the free engagement session and about 150 brides visit my table and inquire about prices!
I had to turn quite a few away with dates that were already booked.
I had a great turnout – especially for my first time – GOD IS GOOD!
Tomorrow I will try and e-mail the brides and thank them for stopping by!
EXCITING TIMES!!
