Sunday afternoon I had a few hours at a wedding to shoot. Peggy and I went to church together a LONG time ago when I was in middle school. We got in touch again through FACEBOOK and she wanted me to come to the wedding for a few hours to take “formal” portraits. My Aunt L was our youth group leader during that long ago time so she came along as my assistant!

The wedding was at Pinecroft Golf Course in Ridgebury – very close to my parents house!

The lovely Jenna V was my assistant for the day – she went to high school with a TON of people in the wedding and at the wedding so it was cool for her to be there and have an “in” with everyone!

Saturday brought a wedding in Troy with the lovely Jenna V!

The bride’s sister was in the Sechrist wedding (the photo that used to be my header) but she first heard of me through Jenna V! I have been so excited for this wedding! I knew quite a few people from the Sechrist wedding so it was nice to have a comfort level! I have a few more weddings with the same crowd of people coming up and am so excited about being familiar with everyone!

Jenna and I got to the church at 1 with the ceremony at 3 – taking most of the pictures we could before the ceremony. When we pulled up to the church there was a GIANT swarm of bees in a tree near where we wanted to shoot pictures – like nothing I have ever seen before.

We quietly avoided the bees and only had one incident where a bee got in the flower girl’s tulle of her dress.

Sunday I took Mary Love with me to Geneva (about a 1 1/2 hour drive) for my wedding at BELHURST CASTLE! I had never been but everyone told me it was breathtaking!

Mary and I got there with plenty of time to spare and scope out the location.

The groom Bill and I met in college through Campus Crusades for Christ – and reconnected on FACEBOOK (thank God for FACEBOOK and the connections I have made)!

We hung out with Cheryl and her family as they got ready for the big moment.

The wedding party started walking down the aisle to music I have NEVER heard at a wedding before – and I have been to my fair share.

The music from The Princess Bride – no lyrics – just the instrumental from the ending – I was SO EXCITED – I LOVE that movie and I LOVE the music!

I immediately knew what I was going to do with the photos – the first picture in this post – on the water at Seneca Lake – with the lyrics to Storybook Love floating in the sky.

The ceremony was wonderful – the message was amazing and I shed a few tears (although this is a daily thing for me).

Saturday was the first wedding of wedding season this year!

The groom Tony and I have been friends since 6th grade!

Brelin and I had only met once prior to the wedding day – I love her – she is so sweet and fits Tony perfectly.

So my sister had a slight change in color plans for the wedding – she is still using the truffle with the pool – but she is throwing in the cognac dress too!

I am VERY excited!

Vanessa is going to be in the truffle with the other two bridesmaids in pool and me in the cognac – which is the dress I tried on in the store!

THIS is my dress for the wedding – this dress is about 190 usually but was on sale for 150 – since the cognac color is being discontinued this dress is on sale for 80! AWESOME!

We are gonna go shopping for wedding invites soon!

HOW I WOULD LOVE TO BE A WEDDING PLANNER!

I didn’t know how the month of April would be with just quitting Phoenix and finding enough to keep me busy. Between taking Schrute for walks – dishes – laundry – baseball games – and the work for Phoenix that I have – I have been able to keep very busy.

I also haven’t watched TV hardly at during the day – something I am quite proud about!

I have listened to Taylor Swift and Elton John enough to know the songs by heart – but no TV!

Today I had a photo shoot in Sunbury for promotional photos – tonight I have a little league game to take shots at for a parent – then the real fun begins!

Friday afternoon Jared and I are going to a concert in Williampsort – Natalie Stovall – the country artist who is using my photo (STILL SO COOL)!

Saturday I have a wedding in Athens with the reception in Elmira – Tony (a dear middle and high school friend) is marrying a sweet girl Bre – SO EXCITED FOR THIS WEDDING – KT is coming with me to second shoot and get some ideas for her wedding pictures in July!

Sunday I have a wedding at Belhurst Castle in Geneva NY – the groom and I went to college together – Mary Love is my second shooter – SO MUCH FUN!

I have two engagement sessions so far in May – both on Market Street in Corning!

The winner of my engagement drawing at the Arnot Mall BRIDAL EXPO will also be making an appt. for May!

I have a wedding in Troy on the 30th – a wedding that I have been waiting to do for about a year now – the lovely Jenna V will be my assistant at that wedding!

The 31st – a small wedding where I am just coming to take some formal (and informal) bridal portraits after the ceremony and before the reception. The bride and I went to church together when I was in early middle school and found eachother on FACEBOOK this week – Aunt L was our youth group leader then so she is coming with me to shoot some and just to see Peggy!

I still have 3 clinics to schedule photos with – we have the GREAT AMERICAN BAKE SALE on the 9th – and KT has a shower on the 23rd! It will be a BUSY MONTH!
