Wednesday – June 24 – the GMACC held their annual golf tournament.
I handed out raffle tickets for prizes and arm length at a time – my arm length – so everyone got a good chance at winning something.
I am not a golfer so I hung out at home in the afternoon and came back for the yummy dinner!
My friend Johna is on a mission.
My friend Mara is urging the Reckless Abandon Youth to live the mission.
We found a common ground in the Great American Bake Sale.
On May 9th from 9 AM to 2 PM we are holding a bake sale with 100% of the proceeds to benefit hungry children – locally.
We will be having tables with baked goods in front of the businesses on Main Street in Mansfield.
We are asking local businesses to donate baked goods, baking items, raffle items.
We are also asking any people that would like to donate baked goods for the sale to drop them off at Phoenix Rehab @ 127 North Main in Mansfield on Thursday the May 7th and Friday May 8th between 8 AM and 5 PM.

The Walker Cake Co. is an up and coming new bakery out of Wellsboro. They had a booth at the EXPO and the cakes were AMAZING – think Ace of Cakes style!

I usually don’t consider winter to be here unless we have snow – now we have it.
The first snowfall of the season …
Chuck was not happy to be left out in the cold.
Tuesday was Veterans Day and my boss let me jet out downtown to catch the ceremony in Mansfield. At the intersection in Mansfield – we have a wall honoring Veterans from WWI – the wall needed some work with paint chipping and fading. The Sign Shop in Mansfield restored the wall and had the formal dedication on Veterans Day.

Every year our church has a picnic in August – and of course I took my camera along this year.
The kids collected apples and then I arranged them in stacked piles – mostly because I LOVE organization. One of the deacons in the church and I got into a conversation about geocaching – something that I didn’t know existed.
This baby bird was at the base of a tree by then pond – I thought at first he was injured but as soon as I took the lens off him the first time – he jumped up and stumbled off toward the water. I don’t think he liked having his picture taken.
At Tanglewood – they have a pavilion with an old fridge and stove in the back – I LOVE the old appliances.
Every year at the Troy Fair and Tioga County Fair – NCA has a booth with peach shortcake – and LUCKILY there were leftovers. Make sure to get to one of the fairs next summer and have some shortcake – SO GOOD.
Another beautiful sky …
Friday night we went to the Tioga County Fair with PM and Clarice. The demolition derby was the event of the night and we thought – why not – it’ll be fun. And of course – I had to take my camera. Usually I enter pictures in the Troy Fair and the Tioga County Fair – but this year we were on vacation both Saturdays for drop off and pick up for the Troy Fair – and then I had a wedding both drop off and pick up days for the Tioga County Fair – and seeing as how I am digital now and took over 25,000 pictures the first year I had my camera – I couldn’t pick just a few to enter.
This baby goat was so sweet – and so soft.

It was a fun night – other than inhaling about 2 packs of secondhand smoke – and the sky was AMAZING at the end of the evening.
