I didn’t photograph Heather’s wedding – but I have been photographing them since their little-now-big *S* was nestled in her tummy!

I’ve been taking Autumn’s pictures for … honestly – I’ve lost count how many years!

I always look forward to seeing her family every year – and THIS year – I would be seeing her TWICE!

Those boys – they are certainly special!

It was a busy BUSY fall! I have about 53 sessions waiting to be blogged – and since sessions are slowing down – I JUST started preparing them!

We spent A LOT of time with my parents this fall – at the farm!

Enoch ADORES my dad and wakes up at 5 AM to sneak downstairs and cuddle with him! And ask to go feed the cows. And ask about going on a bear hunt.

And one September day – they went on a bear hunt – we just waited until a more reasonable hour!

THAT SWEET LITTLE FACE! I miss his curls SO VERY MUCH!

They didn’t find a bear – but we did see a deer and helped Pa get his hunting paths ready!

As I type this – it’s cold and snowy – and I am MISSING THOSE COLORS and the warm – longer days!

THE SPEECHES!

Quay asked his little sister to be his best man! As we were finishing up their pictures – he assured me that he doesn’t really get emotional!

BUT – as you can see – it got emotional at that table real quick!

Bri asked her brother to be a bridesmaid AND to say a speech!

And her sister – a speech – but not just ANY speech! A RAP!

I LOVE when a band plays at a wedding – and Devon Franks does NOT disappoint!

This was ALSO a first at a wedding! BEWARE OF RATTLESNAKES!

I absolutely LOVE the candidness of those shots!

Not many brides ask for a picture with me – but when they do it reminds me that while they hired me because they LOVE what I see – they also hire me because of the connection they feel with me! Being a photographer is a humbling experience – sharing in intimate moments – there MUST be a connection! I always say – if you just need someone to take your wedding photos – I’m not your girl. But if you LOVE how I see you – if you love what I can bring to your day – then I’m certainly your girl!

Megan and Josh’s wedding was two years ago – and now they’re expecting a little girl!

Quay’s daughter – the last time I saw her – she was just a toddler!
