{"id":1569,"date":"2008-08-12T17:05:18","date_gmt":"2008-08-12T21:05:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bardenphotography.com\/blog\/2008\/sympathy\/"},"modified":"2008-08-12T17:05:18","modified_gmt":"2008-08-12T21:05:18","slug":"sympathy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bardenphotography.com\/blog\/2008\/sympathy\/","title":{"rendered":"Sympathy."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>You know those personality quirks that we all have &#8211; and some drive others crazy &#8211; even ourselves crazy?<\/p>\n<p>Mine is sympathy &#8211; or the lack thereof.<\/p>\n<p>Empathy is identifying with or experiencing the feelings of another.<\/p>\n<p>Sympathy is sharing the feeling of others.<\/p>\n<p>I find empathy to be MUCH easier than sympathy.<\/p>\n<p>The fruits of the spirit are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. I think sympathy is a fruit of the spirit that God is molding in me. I know that most of the reason I am at the job I am in now &#8211; not the photography &#8211; but the secretary portion- is to teach me sympathy. Working with the public requires lots of sympathy. I also deal with sympathy struggles outside of work &#8211; the lack of responsibility for people&#8217;s actions &#8211; AMAZES me.<\/p>\n<p>God amazes me with His approach to teaching us the things that we need to shape us into the men and women He wants us to be.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You know those personality quirks that we all have &#8211; and some drive others crazy &#8211; even ourselves crazy?
